Message from the President
|
As we welcome students to campus for the fall semester, Saint Xavier is vibrant with
the contagious enthusiasm that marks the beginning of a new academic year. Thanks
to the hard work and dedication of the entire University community, we enter the fall
term having received a number of impressive accolades.
SXU was recently named a College of Distinction because of our commitment to mission
and strong academic programs in areas such as nursing and business. New degree tracks
in exercise science are being recognized as models of relevant curriculum development,
and long-established programs in nursing and communication sciences and disorders
maintain their reputations as academic innovators. U.S. News & World Report recently
listed Saint Xavier University as a "Best Value" institution, a "Best College for
Veterans" and a top performer in advancing social mobility.
We owe these accomplishments, in large part, to the dedication of our faculty, staff
and students, as well as the steadfast support and generosity of our alumni and friends.
As our award-winning marketing campaign, "Calling All Doers," suggests, we are all
called to be our best to ensure that the Mercy legacy of Saint Xavier University flourishes
for another 173 years.
Please enjoy this summary of SXU news and happenings during the past few months. We
are looking forward to a promising new academic year and invite you to take part in
the journey of Saint Xavier University.
Best Regards,
Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D. President
